It sounds like the 9-beep error. You can fix it by buying a repair kit from www.eesolutions.ca. I fixed mine in about an hour and a half.

SOURCE: spins, stops and can't find dock

The problem is your Roomba's bumper. Tap it with your hand about a dozen times, blow it out with compressed air, and then try running the Roomba. If the same thing occurs, call support at 1-877-855-8593. (Be sure to have the Roomba with you when you call.)

SOURCE: backs up spins in circles, then red light flashes and beeps

Sounds like either the battery is bad or not being charged properly with subsequent loss of programming.

SOURCE: Took Roomba apart to clean and now the pick up

You can go to www.iRobot.com . This is the roomba website. You should be able to find replacement parts, customer support, videos or the Roomba product, and more.
When you cleaned your Roomba, did you also clean the wheel wells and outer most edges of the brush brush cartridges? There can be lint, threads, and at my house, cat hair, wrapped around the outermost edges of the brush cartridges.
I hope my suggestions help. If so, please contact Fixya and rate my solution.
Thanks and Good Luck!

I have roomba 880 stationed in open w/nothing blocking view (virtual walls, lighthouse, doors, etc) but it will not go back to docking station even when I press docking and its only 6 feet away.

it seems as if the robotic cleaner is having a problem sensing where it is or failing to notice where its charging station is try cleaning any optical/IR sensors and it maybe able to see once again where its charging dock is

does it sing 9 beep when it stops ?
if it does, you are facing a known issue of bumper sensor fail.

Roomba 560 won't run correctly

Hey
if it's 5 beeps it says: Drive wheel is stuck
You should clean both , push both in and out and confirm it turns freely

Good luck

Roomba 560: it only spins in one place, then stops & doesn't dock either.

If there's no message its probably a sensor malfunctioning. It might be a cliff sensor, the bump switch, or wheel-drop (left, right, or caster). Try cleaning the sensors and vacuuming things out as a first step.

My Roomba 560 just spins in circles and then stops and beeps 9

Perhaps its a wheel drop sensor instead of a cliff sensor. Clean the caster, caster axle, caster motion sensor, remove and vacuum or blow the dirt from the left and right wheel assemblies.

The roomba moves forward about a foot then spins & 4 beeps

Mine used to buck and spin and then stop. Don't know if this will work, but it did for me. Before turning my Roomba on, I hold it on the floor and move it back and forth a few times so that the wheels spin. This seems to break up the initial resistance in the wheels and it solved my problem. Good luck.

Roomba Docking Station

Probably not, unless you just have to have the docking station. My roomba always had trouble mating with my docking station so I never used it. I just plugged it directly in to will using the AC adapter.
