I can't choose anything.

When I plug in the cord, the display screen should always say "0:00" and let me choose baking options but it either does not turn on at all until I press Start/Stop or says "4:00" "Rest" at the bake option and doesn't let me choose anything. I think it might be somehow related to the baking that I did yesterday- I don't think I pressed Stop when the bread baked, I just took it out and didn't even unplug it.

SOURCE: Panasonic bread machine SD253. Programmer

The only thing you can do for these machines is the following:
first, if the unit is always plugged in, disconnect it for at least an hour.  This may reset it.
I doubt there are parts...but if you disassemble the unit and cycle all of the connectors, you may get lucky.  IF parts exist, you'll likely need a timer module.

SOURCE: Breadmaker will not allow me to select bread type.

I have one of these and when you turn it on you just keep pressing the "menu" button until the little arrow is next to the type of bread or dough that you wish to make. It sounds as if it may be faulty.

SOURCE: Every time I bake a wholemeal loaf, it bakes well

Fast Action Easy Bake yeast is supposed to help with improving the volume of a loaf, but you can add 1/4 tsp of Vitamin C powder (ascorbic acid) to whole wheat loafs to improve the rise. Sometimes mixing the flours helps as a small amount of white (30%) can make the loaf less dense. Make sure you use the best quality flour you can afford - the cheap ones don't always make such a good loaf.

SOURCE: I have a Panasanic bread machine, Model BT 65P, we

I would say reading this site and from my own model of breadmaker - stick with a Panasonic. There are so many problems listed for other models. I have had mine for about 15 years, make a loaf almost every day and they still turn out great every time. They update the models from time to time, but basically they still look and function similarly.

SOURCE: bread does not rise enough I have carefully

A few tips.
The yeast must be absolutely fresh, use sachets instead of packets.
Keep yeast well away from the fats and liquids.
The fast rise setting will produce less rise than the full program.
You must only use strong bread flour.
Open lid immediately beep sounds.

Why laptop screen goes black after plugging battery charger?

Try another charger and then see or it might be a power options issue

Try this

SOLUTION: If you have a second computer, use Remote Desktop by choosing 'Run', type 'mstsc', type the name of the computer with a black screen, and connect. After logging in, open 'Control Panel', and choose 'Power Options'. On the left panel choose 'Choose when to turn off the display'. On the row labeled 'Adjust plan brightness', under the 'Plugged in' column, turn up the brightness slider.

My compaq presario sr1620nx screen is shaking

Look for your computer's monitor settings, then adjust its refresh rate.
To modify a refresh rate on Windows, right-click anywhere on the Windows desktop.

Select "Properties," then choose the "Display Properties" tab on the window that appears.

Click the "Settings" option, then select "Advanced" from the window that appears.

Choose the "Monitor" tab, which lets you access a drop-down menu with the options for refresh settings adjustments.

As a basic guide, use a setting of at least 75 hertz.

Confirm the change by clicking "Apply." Reboot the PC to ensure the new settings on the screen take effect.

Check your screen if the blinking problem is resolved. If not, try a higher refresh setting.

If there is no change on the flickering of the screen, this means the problem is not caused by the screen's refresh rate.

If your computer is not running on a battery or surge protector, shut it down to safely transfer the plug to another outlet

Hope this helps.

My brand new Toshiba SAtellite C850 F31Q screen stays black on startup. What can I do?

Got this from another site, since I had the same problem:

The problem is with the power settings, not the OS or anything else
Here are the fix steps:
1. Turn off your computer
2. Disconnect every wire from it (including power)
3. Disconnect the battery from the bottom of the computer. There will be two tabs labeled 1 and 2.
4. Re-plug in the power wire. (the battery should not be in the computer)
5. Turn on the power. The screen will work. Choose start windows normally. (if you get that screen)
6. Go to Control Panel -> (Mobile PC) -> Power Options -> Under Balanced choose change plan settings
7. Choose Change advanced power settings
8. Find Processor power management and change the minimum processor state from 5% to 100% for each On battery and Plugged in.
9. Click Apply then OK
10. Shut down you computer.
11. Disconnect the power cord.
12. Re-install the battery on the bottom of the laptop, plug in the power cord, and restart the computer. "

NO VGA DISPLAY TOSHIBA SATELLITE M300 FOR VISTA

Hi What precisely do you mean by VGA display, is your laptop not displaying anything on lcd screen,or its having problem giving display on an external monitor connected via a vga port.
if there is no display on the laptop LCD screen, then turn the laptop on and observe for beeps sounds and hard disk spinning sound if still no display is available plug the laptop to external monitor and again restart the laptop. if there is no display on the external screen and laptop is displaying well in LCD, Then most probably you need to press some keyboard combination on laptop keyboard eg: Fn + f4 , refer to your laptop manual also.

I have a strange problem. Using Windows 7 and Nvidia 260 GTX video card. I have a 20" Samsung syncmaster & a 32" Samsung LCD TV 1080p. I want the Syncmaster to be Monitor 1 & the LCD to...

Windows 7 has some neat little enhancements, one of them being how it lets you handle dual monitors. If you're adding a second monitor to your Windows 7 home or office PC, which is a very good idea, it's a breeze to configure.
There are actually two ways you can currently setup multiple monitors in Windows 7, either by using a keyboard shortcut or via the traditional system properties.
I really like the first method since it's new and is way easier than having to go into the Control Panel or anything else.
Simply press the Windows key and P (Windows + P) to bring up a quick menu of options.

Pretty neat! You can pick to show only the computer, make the second monitor a duplicate of the first, extend the desktop to the second monitor or turn off the first monitor and activate the second.
The second way is to right-click on the desktop and choose Screen resolution.

Now you'll see the familiar 1 and 2 to distinguish which monitor is which. There are several options and under Multiple Displays, you can choose from the same options as when you pressed Win + P.

That's it! You can also change the orientation of the displays and change the resolution of each display. It's pretty straight-forward in Windows 7 and a lot easier! Enjoy!

OUT OF RANGE: this words appear on my monitor, and it does not change. the monitor is black always.

The resolution your pc is set for is not compatible with the monitor.
To fix this, you need to start the pc in VGA mode. (640 x 480 lines) Start the computer and begin tapping the F8 key about once a second till you see a text screen with options displayed.
If you recieve a stuck key error, clear it (read the message) and continue to tap F8.

Choose the option to boot in VGA mode. When pc starts everything will look very big, like you're zoomed in.
Now you can change the screen resolution. Right click on background and choose properties, or display options, (depends on your operating system) find the option for resolution and change it to 800 x 600. (The screen will not change then and ther) Apply or OK the screen then restart the pc normally. Now you should be able to see more of the screen.
Go back to the resolution settings, and adjust it to your likeing and the limit of the monitor. Now it will apply immediatly, - click the save option that pops up with the change to lock in. If screen becomes unreadable, just wait 15 seconds and it will change back.

Without knowing what model Garmin you have, perhaps there is a "night mode" illumination display option available and has been selected.

Sorry this is vague, but I hope it is of some benefit to you.

Good luck!

Screen goes black when power cord is plugged in.

Start by checking the power supply with an ohm meter for the proper output. Anything higher or low than one volt means the supply is faulty and will need replaced. This could also be a battery issue, if a fail safe in the battery has engaged. Try removing the battery and see if it works properly on the supply only, if so, then the battery will need replaced. If these two check good, then I'm afraid the problem is with the power management system on the motherboard, and unfortunately the motherboard Will have to be replaced.
