SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

SOURCE: cant take photos and the LCD screen says "Memory card is locked. Slide lock to 'write' position"

I don't own this camera but My guess is your memory card is in a LOCK SETTING you need to move the memory card to unlocked " wrirte " so you memory card isn't locked.....
Step 1 remove the card from you're camera
Step 2 there is a small little side on the side of the memory chip move that to the unlock position.
step 3 insert the card and start shooting!

SOURCE: Camera is saying "Memory card is locked. Slide lock to "write" position."

If you remove the card from the camera, there is a little switch on the SD Card. There is typically a label that shows which direction is locked. If not, switch it to the opposite side. This should solve the problem. Otherwise, there could be a problem with your card. I hope this solves the problem.

SOURCE: Hi, My Nikon D90 with Nikkor

Take the memory card out of the camera and look at it. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again. Then put the card back into the camera.

MEMORY CARD LOCKED

All SD cards I have ever seen can be locked with a little slide on the left side as you face the label. if the slide is up, the card is unlocked and can be used for taking pictures. If the slide is down, it is in the locked position, which prevents it from overwriting anything that is currently on the card. Before you unlock it you may want to verify that all pictures on the card (if any) have been saved because once you start using the card and overwriting its contents, the pictures are gone forever. If the card is empty, just unlock it, format it and start taking pictures.

Camera saying memory card locked slide lock write psition

The Nikon N75 is a film camera. It doesn't use a memory card at all.

If you're referring to some other digital camera that does use an SD/SDHC card, look at the memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
