Help on value of surge R801 Panasonic CT27SX11E Please

Please help Value of surge R801 on Panasonic CT-27SX11E also a tip of what other compononents that can go bad the household power suden came in and off about 3 times and set went dead i tested the big cap it reeds 80 some volts. the surge resistor can't reed value though i get 17.6 k on my meter some tell me if it's right thanks in advance.

hi,disconated from AC main. if you know bit of repairing tv and soldering? this what to look for main power board. 1 x dry joints 2 x leaky capacitors just remember when changing cap's make sure to use the 105' and same value.

I have already responded to your first question in relation to the Ohms and wattage,It worries me that maybe you can not see an answer to that question.The wattage rating should be the same or highier.

CT-27SX11E Fixed but need advice on R value

i would not recomend replacing the 7w with the 5w, beacuse the resistor will allways run hot, hotter then the resistor should be. the resistor could possible melt anything that touches it & will not last as long as the original before it goes bad. find a 7w, if just for safty reasons.

The Ohms are ok but the wattage should have been the same or higher.A 1.5 with only 5 watts is not sufficient.
