you need to reset the modem, look for the reset button of your modem, it just beside the port for your power cord.if you dont see anything like it. call 2wire for them to assist you for unbridging the modem

The picture looks like it is a 2wire DSL modem. If this is service from AT&T/SBC you should have gotten filters to put between the phone and the wall jack make sure those are installed. Power off the 2wire modem ( unplug power )Then disconnect all computers and routers you may have from the 2wire router. Plug one computer in to the router then turn on the computer first then plug the power back into the 2wire router. Wait and see if you get an uplink. The password is probably on the serial number sticker on the 2wire.

Once you are there click on Broadband Link icon. If it says connected you are good to go. If it does not then call the internet provider for registration of 2Wire router to the service

that 2wire only works with DSL services, if you are using cable internet then no it wont work. If the surfboard digital voice is just a VOIP router then yes, plug the surfboard into one of the ethernet ports on the back of the 2wire.

Linksys is the problem. (unreliable quality)
Call their help (in India) and hope you can understand what they saying :)

Get a Belkin router.
It's much easier to setup and a lot more reliable.

first of all let's start from the complete facts, does your 2wire router have built in wireless or no? how you did the the cable connections between tht routers?.

Purchase a different router and return the 2wire to the ISP explaining it is not compatible with your equipment at home. You may need to provide them with the new router's MAC address.

What seems to be the problem with your 2wire router?

The 2wire dsl modem/router cannot be use with a another cable modem , since this 2wire device is also a modem/router and its made for the DSL conenction that's why it wont work with Cox cable, the best thing that you can do is to ask Cox to give a wireless modem/router like this 2wire so you can still use the wireless connection of your computer..
