The whole screen turned blue while shifting it to get to inputs. Now I can't get anything but a blue screen.

If you have not turned the TV off yet then do that. Turn it off and let it power down completely. If it has a fan then let the fan stop spinning. Wait about 5 minutes then turn the TV back on. If you still see blue then you may need a new bulb or the light engine in your TV has gone bad.

My sony wega 50 inch tv the standyby light is flashing 9 times and the tv won't power on, whats Up? model number KDP-57WS655

You need a new projector bulb. Google up your model and buy the best warranteed one you can find. Buy a "caged assembly" and not just a bare bulb.

Then unplug your tv and get a screwdriver. Follow your model's instructions and just snug down the electrical screws. Do not overtighten them.

Then consult your manual on how to reset the lamp timer so it knows you put a new bulb in and fires up from the first try.

Treat yourself because you've just saved yourself a trip from a repairman!!

T.v turns off about 3 times a day

Its problem of bulb that got weak in result and causing TV shut down.
Replace bulb in TV and I would recommend to buy Sony original bulb for TV safety.

Magnavox 50" DLP Tv power light comes on but then i hear a buzzing noise and then two red lights come on the tv. at no point does the picture turn on during this time. Can you please give me a possible...

Your bulb is burned out. I have had the same problem. It seems this television has an overheating problem--and short bulb life. I have had our 50 Magnavox dlp for two years and just put in the second bulb before Christmas. You can buy the bulb from a dealer on ebay for $99 and install it yourself. I is not in the housing so you have to carefully take out 4 screws and replace the bulb without touching the face of the bulb. To buy the one from Magnavox with the housing is much more expensive. I think the first time my husband replaced the bulb it took about 45 minutes--this time it took about 20.

Sony LCD television will not power on.

I get 5 blinking red lights for about a minute or so before it powers back down. The Sony TV has a specific light that i presume is supposed to light up when the bulb is out. I'm unsure if this is what it is.
no picture, no sound. tries to boot with green light blinking a few times. then goes to red blinking light, six in all, then waits a few moments, then another 6 blinking red light.
Bulb was already replaced several months ago but we do have the TV on for long periods of time.

Sony KF50XBR800 Turn off and on issue

You will need to replace your bulb.
It costs around $ 300.00 for a new bulb.
After you have installed it, your TV will look new once again.
