This problem also occur in the past week for 2 days then the phone return to vibrate by themself after the battery was empty and shutdown the mobile but this method now not useful and the phone still not vibrate for 3 days until now
Yor mobile ******** hase been crashed you need to change it

1. Press menu button and go to sound and make sure it's not in silent mode and that you've got an actual audible notification selected.
2. Launch you messaging application and check your settings there as well and make sure you have notifications enabled.

Try this:
1. Make sure your phone not in charging (it won't vibrate for several phone like e.g. NOKIA)
