KDP-51WS550 with 10 red led blinks upon power-up

Does anybody know what to replace to fix this TV? The serice manuals say Q8013,Q8014,R8051, and IC8005. I replaced them already and still the same issue. Can someone tell me what is causing the 10 blinks? I would really appreciate it. The TV works from time to time but mostly doesn't. I would really appreciate it. I have a lot of experience in soldering and repair so I can do just about anything. Please advise.

If you had the 10 blinking code before replacing Q8013 and Q8014 then you should have replaced these parts as well
R8051 on D Board and IC8005 might be damaged on D board.

Part Numbers for Q8013, Q8014, R8051, IC8005

Q8013 & Q8014 are both 2SK3568 sony Part# 6-550-882-01R8051 is 0.1 1/2 watt fusible resistor sony Part # 1-216-837-11 and IC8005 is a TL1431CZ-AP sony Part # 8-759-586-17 you should be able to get those parts through www.tvrepairworld.com

Ten blinks - Check Q8014 and Q8013 for shorts, leakage, or bad solder connections on the " D" board. If the transistors are bad, check R8051 and IC8005, also on the "D" board.

The blinks are fault indication. If the standby light blinks 10 times and the set shuts down after that;
Check Q8014 and Q8013 for shorts, leakage, or bad solder connections on the " D" board. If the transistors are bad, check R8051 and IC8005, also on the "D" board

It will turn on somedays and work great other days nothing red light blinks 10 times

Thats a HV issue which is indicating that there is most likely an issue with the any of the following items all located on the D board. They are:
Transistors Q8013 & Q8014
Resistor R8051
Integrated Circuit IC8005

Thanks for using FixYa. Ten blinks on Sony HDTV means-- Check Transistors Q8014 and Q8013 on D- Board for shorts, leakage, or bad solder connections. If the transistors are bad, then also check R8051 and IC8005, these are also on the "D" board.

Where can I find Q8014, Q8013, R8051 and IC8005?

where exactly is Q8014 and Q8013? where is board D? How would I know if there are bad? and where exactly is R8051 and IC8005? so I can check and if possible fix it myself. I would really appreciated.

WILL NOT STAY TURN ON

Hi,
Its bit complicated problem. Service manual states HV Protection as 10 times blinks.
You need to replace D Board or if you know basic electronics and familiar with TV repair, then check followings..

• Q8014 or Q8013 have shorted replace
along with R8051 on D Board
• IC8005 is damaged (D Board

SONY-LED BLINKS 10 TIMES

OK, 10 times is HV protection (High Voltage) and problem can be in D board and Q8013, Q8014 can be shorted along with R8051 open.
also IC8005 can be damaged.
All above parts on D board.
I would recommend to get related service manual for proper diagnose of problem in TV.
