How to uncrew crown knob WAF1417.BA0823 - Tag Heuer WAF2110.BA0806 Aquaracer Automatic watch

Here are some general instructions that may help you with your watch:

1. To set the time, locate the crown (a small knob or button) on the side of the watch. Turn the crown to the right to advance the time, and to the left to go back.
2. To set the date, locate the crown and pull it out one notch. Turn the crown to the right to advance the date, and to the left to go back. When you are finished setting the date, push the crown back in to secure it.
3. The two small dials in the watch face are most likely used to track additional functions, such as a second time zone or a countdown timer. Refer to the watch manual for specific instructions on how to use these functions.
4. To activate the light-up feature, press the button or knob on the side of the watch. This will cause the watch hands and dials to light up, making it easier to read the time in low light conditions. The light will turn off automatically after a few seconds.

Tags have a screw down crown (winder knob) turn the knob counter clock-wise until you feel the crown unscrew (not off) then pull the crown carfully. It will pop once this is for date adjust. Then pull once more and you can now adjust the hands, set accordingly then push crown back in. After you push it back in gently compress the crown and tighten clockwise until it stops. CAUTION!!!!!!! Tags are not waterproof if the crown is not screwed back down. I hope this helps .

Unscrew the crown (the main knob on the center right side of the watch casing), wait until the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position, and pull the crown knob up so that it clicks once.

2 Press the button below the crown knob repeatedly until the hands of the alarm dial point to the time within the next 12 hours that you want the alarm to ring. Pressing the button once will move the alarm one minute forward. Pressing and holding the button will move the alarm forward quickly.

3 Pull the crown knob one click further out and turn to adjust the main hands to the correct time, to take into account the time you took to set the alarm.

4 Push the crown knob two clicks back into its normal position, and screw it into place until it locks.

if its fitted with a screw down crown you need unscrew it anti clock, then pull crown out to first position and turn in either direction it should change one of the functions then pull it out to the second position and turn crown to set the other functionr remember to push crown back and screw back to case side its spring loaded on some model of AQ some models you need to pull crown in and out to change date then spin hands with crown to change day. Normally this is from the crown and case tube being dirty. This slows down the rate at which the crown can be turned so the switch inside cannot get triggered to move the hands quicker. Sometimes the turning action can also be so that the switches do not actually 'see' the crown was turned and so the hands do not move.

The solution is to have your watch serviced.

You may have screwdown crown. Try to unscrew it first and then pull out. If the crown is turning but you can not pull it out, there is a rust in the watch and you will have to find your nearest watchmaker to sort that.

Turn knob to set on "Match" Pull out crown knob. Press both buttons for 3 seconds. When you release both buttons it will beep and both hands start moving. Press either button to stop movement. Then press the top button to set the minute hand to 12 oclock. Press the bottom button to set hours to 12. Press in crown and turn to "Time" Pull out crown and set time the same way.

I had to go to the Sears counter to fix mine. The sales person had to use TWEEZERS to pull the serrated knob up. He had to really work at it. Once it is pulled up you can twist the knob to set the time and then push the knob back down. What a stupid design.
