Mp pc monitor display goes off and comes back in few seconds and again it works for a long time the engineer i called for had checked the pc at is work space for about a whole day i tried running the pc with ups and without it it stil show same problem

make sure the 'VGA' lead is plugged in properly. if still dark turn up the brightness on the monitor. if still dark after that, go onto the computer settings and turn up the brightness on the display settings.

If you have not updated the graph drivers, and it has been working, then you should contact View-sonic, go to their website, check warranty, but if you didn't change anything, it should be the monitor having problems. Did you check the plugs on the PC and monitor, the power plug on the monitor, make sure they are connected right and didn't come lose.

Can you try your monitor on another computer to see if it does this there as well? Usually this happens only when video is not detected coming from the PC. It could be as simple as a short in the monitor cable. If you have it connected to a laptop you'll also want to check you control panel power setting rules and then the screen saver under display.

If it is still in warranty call the manufacturer.

shutdown computer unplug then disconnect the video cable on the computer from the monitor, plug monitor back in and turn it on, there should be a display that says no video source within a few seconds, if unit is working properly. shutdown and connect video again and then reboot computer. sometimes it just takes a compleat power disconect to reset things,

your power supply is bad or the back lights. you need to open the back cover and look for leaking or crown capacitors and replace them.

Unfortunatley your monitor is going out. I just had that problem. My sceen would come on, but after about 10min. it would blink off and turn black. I would have to hit the off button on the monitor, then turn it back on. It would work fine for a few minutes then black out again. I got a new/used monitor where I no longer have that problem.

I did check to make sure my hybernate was not activated, it wasn't, I had it set to never turn off.

You have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of he monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix he problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictues and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and - connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the same way. Hi ,
The monitor flicker problem. The monitor when turn on will display image for couple of second then turn black. The monitor status led is still green. This will happen each time it is turn on. The symptom at appear to come from the inverter board.
