Did you try this monitor with another PC yet to find out if it is the PC video card problem or the monitor problem. Most failure in the monitors are due to the bad capacitors in the power supply section as you can see in my albums of failed monitors and TV's.

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.
