Monitor flashes the "AOC Eyes Value" logo without evr turning on

Man that really hurts.

Flashing logo of company on monitor screen means your monitor has power but not receiving data. Have to find a way to fix data, may be data cable ( vga cable ) of booting of computer itself

Try few things not sure solve your problem or not but really doesnt hurt to try

First, It looks you have loose VGA cabling. Try removing VGA cable completely and connect again

Link how VGA cable looks like
http://files.sandberg.it/products/images/lg/501-93_lg.jpg

Second, if above doesnt solve the problem, may be your VGA card has problem or your CPU is not booting up. Feel the breeze of fan on SMPS to see if it is working or not.

Hope this helps

I would like to remove the OSD warning pop out

If you are getting a message that says something like "Check cables" " no signal detected" or something like that, it is likely that your monitor is operating correctly. I would suggest checking your cables, make sure that the computer is turned on, and if that doesn't help, check if your monitor has VGA, DVI, or HDMI inputs. I am thinking that your monitor may be trying to display from the wrong source. This is what a VGA (analog) cable looks like. VGA cables are typically blue.

Another common connection that is used is a digital HDMI (left) or DVI (right) connection. DVI cables often have white end connectors. How your PC connects to your monitor will determine the source mode you want to use on your monitor. (Obviously this is the cable view but the connection on the monitor itself will look similar.)
tgvern_3.jpg
If none of these tips helps, I would suggest hooking the same monitor up to a different PC or laptop, and trying once again to get a the display working. Again, make sure that the connection matches the source setting on your monitor. If it works on another PC, then your computer may have a video problem.
Otherwise, if it still does not work your monitor have a problem displaying via that connection. If possible I would suggest switching to a different type of cable and re-try the above steps.

I have aoc lcd monitor,

It sounds like there is no signal to the monitor. The computer you have, does it work if you hook up another monitor? Have you taken this monitor to maybe a friends house or neighbor? See if it works. If it does; there may be a problem with your computer's video. If the monitor does not work; the issue is the monitor. It will then need to be replaced.

I have been using AOC monitor, model 172S for the

You mean the OSD menu? That sounds like a loose solder joint. The button when pressed closes the cicruit and performs that particular action. What is happening here is that due to bad solder joint the button is pressing itself and hence you see the OSD menu. I have seen this problem a couple of times before. If you have good soldring skills you can probably handle this yourself.

Has a blue dialog box that says out of range

Hello

It sounds like you have two separate problems.

The first one is the "out of range" issue. This means you are trying to display a screen resolution that is too high or too low and your monitor cannot display any image. Reboot your computer with another monitor or into safe boot mode and change the resolution to an industry standard (800x600 / 1024x786) and then see if your monitor will display the image. Once you can see the image on your monitor, you can make adjustments and it will automatically revert back if you cannot see the new display settings.

Update your video graphics card drivers to get the best possible resolution.

As for the buttons on the front of the monitor not working, this may be caused by the "out of range" issue above. It could also indicate that your monitor may be going bad. Try the above steps - if you get no image from the monitor, try moving the monitor to another known good computer and see if the button functionality works after it displays an image.

It sounds more likely that the back light inverter circuits are not working, check to see if you do have 12vdc feeding the inverter circuits. Check for bad caps (bulging top) also. See example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

if this is a CCTV system, that is a security system and if resetting the PW was easy ? it would render the system useless, (a toy grade CCTV) and is not. that is why you must call them, not us as we are not them.
