Samsung A670 I was trying to change the faceplate on my Samsung A670. I turned the phone off. Then I unscrewed the two screws and proceeded to pop off the face plate. Well my first problem is that it would pop off?????????? So I quit and went to turn my phone back on and only the numbers are lit up. The screen has nothing and I can't hear anyone when I call them. HELP!!

It sounds like you pulled out the flex ribbon cable that is between the joint of the phone. It might have even gotten torn. You might try opening it again and looking for it as well as any other cables/ribbons that might have come loose.

I changed the battery in my timex expedition watch, and now the alarm doesn't sound. The watch is set for Beep ON, but it never beeps.

Same thing happened to me, took watch to watch shop, they changed the battery and the chimes stopped working. Simple fix, the faceplate was put back on wrong. Unscrew the face plate and turn it upside down (or right side up depending on your POV) the circle on the inside of the faceplate will line up with the springs inside the watch and the chimes will start working again. If you have a pair of eyeglasses screw drivers, like I did, you can do this yourself.

Nokia 7373

This is a close guide, you can see it in practice on YouTube.
LCD change on 7373
  1. Switch off the phone.
  2. Take SIM card out.
  3. Take front faceplate off by inserting Credit card/Tweezers between housing and silver key. As you pull up, take credit card and slide it on the side of the phone prying the clips off. (Gently tease it out working around the phone)
  4. Unscrew these 6 screws at the edges with the T6 screwdriver and release the 4 clips surrounding the LCD screen. Slip the little black frame off of the LCD screen, and lift the screen. (Prize it up gently from the swivel end of the mob.) There's a printed circuit board underneath it is attached to the LCD by a hook type catch. Don't damage it (the board). You should now see a screw. Removing this screw removes the back cover.
  5. That’s it! Put your new faceplate or housing in and figure out how to put things back by following the directions here in reverse order.

You should use anti static gloves for this job, avoid touching the connections and the LCD face.

Faceplate

Found this on Howard Forums. Sorry no photos.

CHANGING HOUSING/FACEPLATE:

Take off your battery, unscrew the screws on the back of the phone with a T6 screw driver.

Pry off the back plate, lift up circuit board gently(be mindful of flex cable) remove the flex cable from mail board by lifting brown part by the connector,

Unscrew then next 2 set of screws(be careful of flex cable!) remove the LCD board from the faceplate.

Now put the LCD Panel into the new faceplate. Find the new back slide and put your sliding rails on.(you may also put the slide magnets on from the old housing) carefully thread your flex cable through the opening.

Snap the Back slider on and then screw in the screws, then take the keypad housing and screw it into the slide rails.

Reconnect the flex cable by putting the brown hatch up(gently with finger nail) gently feeding the cable into the connector until the white line is about to the end of the connector.

Then put the brown thing down and apply little pressure.

Put the mail circuit board back into the phone with the headset jack going in first.

Then snap it back into place.

Transfer your speaker over the the new back housing with the prongs facing up.

Then screw on the back housing.

Replace battery and your DONE!!!

Best of Luck.

Putting on faceplate for samsung t319

hi you best bet is go to a repair mobile shop if are in doubt to try this .
you'll need a small Philips head screwdriver to complete the installation. To take off original faceplate, remove 2 screws located below the inside display (screws are hidden under stickers). Next, gently pry off the faceplate along the edges between faceplate and phone with a Faceplate Removal Pry Tool. When re-attaching screws, do not over-tighten screws
