Keep trying - It is stuck and will likely break but you have to remove it to change the seal. It is not uncommon to need to replace the impeller when the seal fails since the water gets behind the impeller shaft and rusts the metal causing the impeller to bind. If you still cannot get it free pull the motor thru-bolts and lock the rotor once removed from the motor in a vice. Use a large pair of channel locks to break the impeller free...replace it if necessary.

sounds like you need a new seal plate.

The impeller threads off the shaft and most likely is right hand threads. You will have to lock or hold the motor to remove the impeller. If you remove the motor cover you might find that the motor has a slot in the end of the shaft or two flat sides so you can hold it with a flat wrench.

The impeller is probably plastic and could break. Get a strap wrench to remove the impellor.

If the pump is getting hot check the voltage to make sure it is within 10% if it is it is a bad pump if it is not bad gfi
