Hi All:
I have a Microsoft
By erratic, i assume you mean jumping around the screen, etc? get a qtip, cover it with isopropyl, and gently swab the lens. make sure it is free of dirt and scratches. Also clean the area you use your mouse on. It should be fine after you do that.

After changing the battery i cant get my mouse to
Try unpluging the reciever completely from the computer and while unpluged remove the batteries, then plug and install the batteries, this is to reset everything. Then there should be a small bottom on the reciever and a similar one on the mouse, you click the reciever first (sometime you may need to hold it for three seconds) then click the bottom in the mouse... good luck

My microsoft wireless laser mouse 6000 went out
You may just need to push the reset buttons on the antenna and under the mouse. That forces the mouse to reconnect to the wireless.
Mine does this once in a while. Normally it just works after putting fresh batteries in but once in a while I have to push all the resets to get it to behave.
There will be a button in the middle of the antenna. And if you look at the bottom of the mouse there will either be a red button or a small hole (use a toothpick). You need to push the button and release. Try just the mouse button first. If that doesn't get it then push the antennna then the mouse. Your user manual will have a diagram and a step by step on how do this if you need it.

Hey, i have this mouse for over 2 years now and
Your best bet would be to replace the snap-in receiver. I'm assuming that you're referring to the USB-type plug-in receiver used on most wireless mice.
If the receiver is unavailable from Microsoft or is price-prohibitive, I would just replace the mouse and receiver.
Perhaps a situation like this is best thought of as counting your loss is much less by replacing the mouse than having to have extensive repairs to your laptop.
Best of luck to you,

Just bought my wireless mouse. Is the laser light
Yes, that light stays on all the time. That's how the mouse works; it bounces the light off the surface the mouse is sitting on back up into a sensor. In many models the light actually gets brighter when you pick the mouse up. The sensor sees less light reflected and increases the amount of light. Just use the mouse and don't worry about what you see if you pick it up.

Only a few hours after
I use rechargeable batteries rated at 3200MAh and have been operating for 2 months now.
If you can't get hold of them, try fresh Alkaline batteries like Duracell.
pls. vote for better service... thank you

I have a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2.0
I had the same problem and it was driving me insane - then while troubleshooting the problem I noticed that the bluetooth support service was disabled. I started the service and set the startup type to automatic - that solved the problem for me - no more freezes!!!
