If it is tripping the breaker in your electrical box? or the breaker on a plug strip/surrestor? Or are we referring to the fuse inside the TV?

There could be several things that can cause this. Could be a bad CCFL bulb, inverter, power supply problem, main board, or T-con. You will need to have the set diagnosed to track down the problem.

HelloCheck its CCFL lamps. As lamps goes old, this kind of fault can occur. Replace them all at one time. It is a skilled work. You have to open the LCD panel.

I have a sony bravia kdl 40v 5100 for less than two years and i did not purchased an extended warranty and now my tv is down.
I have no picture, no sound just a black screen when i turn the power on, the power (green) light is lite up and the tv turns off by itself for like less than 30 seconds.
