Cannot pair with I Phone

Please provide more info about the nature of the issue. When you search for the device in settings, menu, bluetooth does it not show up? If this is the case please reset the device, to do this delete it from all phones it is paired with in range. Once this is done, with the device powered on press the vol -/+ and the MFB all at the exact same time. Ensure the buttons are not held simply clicked all at once like a mouse to a computer. When you get a consistent rapid flash the device has been reset and will got automatically into pair mode. From there search on your Iphones bluetooth menu and it should show up.

The socket on your bluetooth headset is for charging purposes only, through either one of your PC's USB ports (your PC won't recognize it as an e.g. pendrive), or the mains charger. It is not meant to be charged via your phone's port, whatsoever.
Anyway, your headset is able to pair with up to 3 devices (phones, computers, etc.). If it has already been paired to 3 devices, its memory is full. In this case, reset it, by pressing, at the same time, these 3 buttons: volume (+),. the volume (-) and the MFB, whilst in idle mode (i.e. not connected to another device). Then, it will automatically enter the pairing mode, denoted by its indicator light with a fast flashing. Otherwise, i.e. if its memory is still idle, starting with it turned off, press and hold the MFB for some 6 seconds, until the indicator light is steadily lit, and then, with a fast flashing. Either way, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a little while, your headset should appear on-screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). If the pairing process is successful, your headset should enter the stand-by mode. There could be an indication on your phone too that a headset is connected. The pairing process between any two bluetooth enabled devices should be performed just once. All subsequent connections between them should be achieved by bringing them both within each other's range, with their bluetooth radios turned on, of course. Otherwise, at most, a simple press on your headset's MFB should suffice.
Hope it works for you.
By the way, if your headset's user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location.
Anyway, please, let me know if you need further informations.

The typical setup with a Bluetooth is press whatever the main button on the device is until there is a glowing blue light (usually about 3-6 seconds). You then need to go to the Bluetooth menu on the phone (under settings). Select scan for devices. After a few seconds, you should see Blueant Z9. Select it. it will then ask for pin to pair device. It should be either 0000 or 1234. After that, you should be all done.

Hello,

there is no other pass-key to enter. The default pass-key is 0000.

The problem as to be from your Blackberry Curve 8520. Make sure the blue-tooth on your Blackberry Curve 8520 is activated and when the phone asks for the pass-key, press the 0000 on time, don't wait time, press it as quick as possible.

Or, turn of the Blackberry Curve 8520, remove the battery, turn it on then try again.

Also, test the Blue-tooth headset with another phone to confirm if problem is actually from the phone or headset.

Please, keep me posted.

Good luck.

Pairing with iphone

Hello.

The iPhone is supported for your Blueant Z9 Wireless Headset.

Here are the instructions for pairing from Blueant:

Pairing Procedure

1. First turn the phone OFF and then back ON again to refresh its memory.
2. Bring the mobile phone to about 30cm from the Z9i Dual Microphone.
3. Find the Bluetooth menu in your mobile phone. Turn Bluetooth ON. (Check your mobile phone user guide if necessary)
4. With the Z9i OFF, Press and Hold the MFB for about 6 seconds. The LED will appear a solid Blue, and then will start flashing. The Z9i is now in Pairing mode and ready to be found in searches by other Bluetooth devices. Pairing mode will be active for 2 minutes.
5. Perform a Bluetooth device discovery on your mobile phone to add a new device. (It takes a few seconds to search for and find other Bluetooth devices around you).
6. When Bluetooth devices are found, the phone will display "BlueAnt Z9i". Scroll to it and press OK to confirm that you want to Pair with it.
7. Enter Passkey "0000" when your phone prompts you. The phone and Z9i will now Pair.
8. An additional security setting in your phone may be needed to allow the headset and phone to connect automatically without confirmation each time you connect your Z9i. Generally in the options for the BlueAnt Z9i, it will be referred to as "set as authorized", "add to trusted devices", ''allow connection'' or similar.
9. If required for first time connection, select the BlueAnt Z9i to connect with your phone. OR, Click the MFB on the Z9i,to connect with the phone.

Hope this helps.
