Have you made sure that the correct 'source' has been selected on your TV? What does the TV show? Does it show, for instance, the menu?
Connect it all up and turn on. Now repeatedly press the button on your tv remote that changes the signal input. This button will be marked as a square or circle with an arrow through it, or will me named source or input. With any luck you should see your digibox.

Hi I waent to your forum and followed some advice about the error code and now the box is working .... it was an update issue ... i needed to disconnect the aerial and then leave and then re-connect. Thanks

Mine did this today when I turned it on, leave it for bout 10 mins and it will finish and start up. Its trying to update it's internal software. you get 1-00 counting to 99 and then back to 1-00 for the duration and the fans will be going nuts.

Bottom row of buttons, second from the left (Picture of screen with a line at the bottom). Press that and the subtitles will come and go as you wish.

Your box is updated Over the Air (OTA). I'm afraid I don't hold out much hope for an update anytime soon, but you can keep an eye out for it here...

Make sure your box is set to receive OTA updates automatically and it needs to remain on stby.

Have got the correct country in user settings, user preferences?

Select menu using the remote control, then select receiver settings then video settings. You're looking for tv format settings. If you have a wide screen tv select 16/9, otherwise select 4/3.

This appears to be a television tuner with accompanying recording software. You can watch TV and record what you watch. You cannot "download from the Internet" using this device, if that is what you mean.

The Sagem PVR 6280 is specifically listed as a model which will have problems with the retune.

See the address below for a chart of affected models, but the official advice is that you must contact Sagem directly on 0845 0900 316 for either an over the air update or an update DVD depending upon the manufacturer.

A number of Sagem models have shown incompatibilities with the recentFreeview retune, and your model is specifically listed as one of those affected (seehttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/01_10_09_freeview2.pdf ). Sagem are not the only ones, better known brands had problems as well.

Sagem error code 07 means there'san access problem in back-up memory and code 09means the machine has been unable to find any data necessary to do anupgrade. In essence, your box has tried to upgrade itself and failedand now cannot restore to it's previous state.

The official advice is to contact Sagem directlyon 0845 0900 316 to find out if they've scheduled an OAD (over air update).

Although my answer doesn't offer an immediate fix it should at leastreassure you that you have done nothing to cause the fault: it's beenthere from the day it was manufactured just waiting to occur. Pop open remote case you will need knife or thin steel ruler to do this.
Clean the board contacts and the conductive pads with switch cleaner or isopropyl alcolhol cleaner and you will find it will work fine.
