I repaired my Acer by replacing the power supply from

Acer would not sell me a replacement power supply.

Note: I needed to solder wires the new power supply to the old one,
the pinouts on the connectors on the new one would not fit the original.

You may have dying power supply module, that will be the first place to check.

Take it to a repair shop, the orange glow signals a fault in the power source of the tv and it must be fixed by a pro.

You may have either the power supply problem not supplying 24vdc to the Backlight inverter board or the inverter board is bad, need to do some voltages checking first.

I have the same problem. I only have a poor work around. Disconnect the power (or switch off using the switch underneath the TV near where the power cable connects, wait 15 seconds, then restart, It temporarily fixes the issue. I am still trying to find a proper fix

Above service and repair manual, above that a forum, above that a user manual, between all these you should be able to isolate and sort out your problem

you need to replace memory ic, that parts stored your free set channel, consult your product service provider for the availability.

Thanks for using FixYa. I am assuming that the sound is coming fine out of the TV as you have not mentioned about it. However, to resolve the issue of darker or no picture you’ll need to check the X and Y sustain buffer boards. When either of these boards goes bad common problems include negative image, no image, vertical or horizontal stripes on picture, turns on and than turns off, and many more. You’ll need to open the back off the TV and check for any swollen/bulged/leaky capacitors on these boards and replace whichever has gone bad. If still the issue is not resolved, then please check the power supply board. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when switched off.

First go into the menu settings and check whether it has a warmth tint function some TVs have various settings for different inputs to get the best picture for the unit your using whether films or TV programmes some have an auto setting so change depending on input source used if that is the case select off on the auto setting. If still the issue is not resolved then I would say that you might have a backlight issue with this TV set. It could also be due to the inverter circuits for the backlights. The inverter is the power supply source for the backlights. There could also be a screen driver problem; if it is then you have to change the entire board. All this is only recommended if you have some kind of expertise for checking the internal circuitry of the TV as these units have high voltages running even when the set is switched off. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

So, you are sure you are "Saving" the configuration then? If YES, well then you have a microprocessor problem.

try googling it or try shop jimmy.com

press channel+ and volume- on the tv (not the remote controller) than you go into factory mode. You can reset certain things there.

press the display or status button once on the remote :)

I had the same problem with my TV when I purchased it used. Select the input you are having troubles with and enter "Service Mode" by pressing and holding the "VOL - " button and "CHAN + " buttons on the TV, simultaneously until the screen flashes red one time.

At this point you will be in service mode. Pressing the "MENU" button will open a service menu, which is different from the typical user menu. From the service menu you can further adjust your image settings until you have a decent picture.

Initially my VGA input looked terribly bright and washed out. Now it looks incredible!

be very carefull and set tv on its face. insert a wide blade screwdriver along the side edge between the back and bezel then push down there are tiny plastic grips along the edge all the way around the back. if you can get your fingers in between give a tug up and the back will come off. provided you removed any screws from the back. it is ok to break a couple of the interlocks.

you seem not to have saved them in the first place.
power down then unplu tv and signal imput.then plug back up .then make sure you SAVE channels

might be right as same as a pc inside. the heart being the processor .if over two years old it's on the downwood slide.
you might check your signal is strong.as it also could be a sat box reboot
