have a look at the motor brushes if there broken or poped out this is were the "grunt is coming from" the motor is trying to turn but cant?

Hello. I can assist you. You will have to take the steps to RESET the Roomba charging system. Here are the steps:
1. Remove the battery. 2. Hold down the power button for five full seconds. 3. Reinstall the battery. 4. Charge the battery until the power light is solid green AND then leave it on the charger for another 72 hours, yes 3 full days!

There is an error. Press the triangle and the bot should give you verbal answer. Pressing “clean” button will repeat the directive: “Dust bin full” or “Clean roomba’s rollers” et centers

You did not post what model series it is. The age of the batteries can have a lot to do with this. When the sensors on the battery detect low voltage, the unit returns to the dock. If the dock is not charging the batteries or the batteries are old and need replaced, the unit will do this.

Definitely check the yellow casters on BOTH brushes. If too difficult to remove with fingers, pull off gently with pliers. They should be cleaned well and any small debris removed with toothpick if needed.
