Foxconn 6627MA-RS2H Motherboard - Page 6 Questions & Answers
I have a alienware computer
You will probably need to open the case and remove all pci cards and
all but one memory module to start with. Try booting, and if successful
add one card or memory module in at a time and again see if the pc
boots. If not successful you are probably looking at a motherboard
issue. Try different memory modules and try them one at a time and in
each memory slot until system boots, if it will boot. Basic hardware
troubleshooting steps are required here. Whatever you changed, remove it and try again. etc etc.
Also make sure the PSU is working as expected. Sometimes the problem will still be the power supply.

Cpu support
An attractive value of dual core processors is that they do not require a new motherboard, but can be used in existing boards that feature the correct socket. Check sockets if same then enjoy.
I don't think that you motherboard supports Core 2 CPU,but you can't neglect the chances. Before buying ask the retailer about the sockets matching.

Motherboard memory capacity.
the motherboard will automatically detect it, make sure that you always use the same manufacturer, speed and size ram chips, don't mix and match. Go to this site and run the scanner and it will tell you what you have and what exactly you can put in it.

Driver link.

The sound driver software is part of the System & Chipset Drivers. When installing the system & chipset driver you should see a window wanting to install 3 to 4 drivers. You uncheck all but the sound driver software.
If this was done once before ( All of chipset drivers Installed) & your sound driver software did not install or failed to install, please make sure you're bios settings are correct. The onboard sound software for you're 5.1 channel, AC’97 Interface, Realtek ALC653 driver must be set to Enable or ON.
Foxconn warrants their boards for life. Free tech support but you're dime. Phone Support Tech. 580-272-0035 US (depending on you're location you may need to add a 1- the the number.
If I can be of more service, just post back & let me know how thing go.
Good Luck!

Graphics card problem
I have the 9600 GT - great card. You have to plug a 6 pin power supply directly into card (on the right hand side when it's installed), it can go AGP or PCI express, but PCI is better. Also NVidia released a new driver for it yesterday (nov 20th) which fixed some bugs in mine (dreamscene WAS a problem for the old drivers), so get that from the Nvidia site- support tab (driver is version 180.48). Also, if the card is allowing you OS to boot it should be fine (if no boot, you prob need to get newer mobo). Uninstall your old drivers, run a reg cleaner, driver cleaner, manually delete c:\nvidia, non-windows defrag and chdsk.....If thats no help to you then I suggest you directly ask beni-muer or world-vet, they are absolutely 1000 more times knowledgable than me when it comes to these probs.. GOOD LUCK.
