I need a zipper foot

Go to any sewing machine store and buy a LOW SHANK adjustable zipper foot. This foot will screw on and fits almost everything. Yes, it's an older machine but you can still get most parts for it. Especially feet.I think this machine has snap on feet, so If you want an original foot take the ankle with you when you go to the shop to buy it.

How do I reset the timing on my Singer 7440 Advance?

If you have had this repaired several times, I am inclinded to believe that the shop is resetting the timing and after a little while it jumps time again. If this is correct, you probably have a gear that is defective. I have seen the gears where the nylon material did not set correctly and actually spins around on the metal. Since the nylon is intact, it does not appear broken and until the technician actually sees it spin, there is no way to know it is defective. You could take it back and ask the tech to check for that.

Thread jamming at bobbin

Check to be sure the thread is not catching on the bottom of the bobbin. If it is, replace the bobbin because it is sprung. If it is not catching there, then you need to check your tension to see that it is working properly. Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";}. Pull the thread through the tension assemblyand test it to make sure the tension is working correctly.
(To do this test, adjust your tension setting to normal or medium or 5 orsomething in the middle. Raise the presser foot and pull the thread through thetension. It should pull easily!! Lower the presser foot and pull the thread. Itshould pull noticeably harder.) If it doesn't do this, you need to remove the thread or lint that is stuck between the tension discs. Open them with a small screwdriver and clean them out.
If this doesn't solve your problem, remove the bobbin case and check the hook for rough spots.. If you find some, buff with an emery stick until smooth.

My singer sewing machinen is

Looking over the machine the only way to slow it down may be to put less pressure on the pressure foot. If you need to have it serviced look for a a business that sells machines. Often they service them also. Keeping it clean will go a long way to keeping it in good order. Also it may need a drop of oil in a few places.
