delete all the drivers of the scanner loaded before.then reload the drivers again and connect the device with your pc when while loading it prompts to connect the wire. do not connect the scanner and pc before loading.connect when the message comes on the screen to connect.it will work.

hi.. there is a lock under the scanner you need to unlock it... lock it to prevent damage while transporting...

If you will go through the Advanced Setup wizzard and it completes you will have access to the "Display Scanner dialog"

If you are using Mac OS X 10.5.x, then you're out of luck. That scanner is not compatible. If it is an earlier version of Mac OS, then check out the website.

Keep in mind that connecting a specific scanner to the computer would have nothing to do with the computer now powering on unless there are physical computer hardware problems. Disconnect any uneccessary external peripherals from the computer (printers, scanners, webcams, etc.) and see if the computer will power on. Remove the computer battery and put it back in. Check power connections and test to make sure the electrical outlet is working by plugging something else into it.

The scanner only lights up when it is scanning. If your computer is running ok, check the Apple System Profiler to see if the scanner is detected. What Mac OS are you using? Leopard is not supported with this scanner model.

Check if the fan on the Op panel side of the machine is running. Ensure the intake on left hand side of machine isn't blocked. Ensure rear vent on right hand back of machine is not blocked.

Have you set up the printer to print wireless? If so, if you have the computer and printer setup to work together, you should be able to turn the printer on and leave it on and print one job at a time. After it prints one job, it will stop and just be ready and waiting for you to send the next job. No need to turn off between jobs.
