Hey sorry i do not have an answer for this but did you get this fixed. i had the alpine cde124xm since june 2011 and had xm activated for a year with no issues. however this sunday it started to happen i shut the car off it looses the signal and needs to be refreshed. Sorry to post this here but i couldn't find a way to contact your directly. Just wondering if you found a fix

Have you checked that both earphone speakers aactua Work? If they are not expensive ones, you may have bought a did set.

Fuses blow like this due to an overload. The cause being a semi-conductor such as an IC or transistor acting like it was a piece of wire. The most common cause is a shorted output transistor(s) in the main amp. But the power supply can't be ruled out. If you have an ohmmeter then a shorted device will be easy to spot. As it will be just like you have touched the probes together when a part (even in circuit) is tested.

Try cleaning the switch with Servisol Video 40 (see image). It could just be dirt.
