If it goes into windows, just restart the PC and try again - if the Del key doesn't work, try tapping F2 as that is also used by some manufacturers to get into the BIOS. Once in the BIOS, just go through the menus until you find the boot priorities screen and make the necessary adjustments. Hope this helps

HelloLooking at the specs for this unit, I think I have a solution for you. The hard drive is SATA but the optical drive is ATA (the older ribbon cable connection). Open the case and look at the back of the CD/DVD drive and look for the jumper settings (CS / SL / MA). It is likely in the CS setting, or Cable Select. You must move this to the MA or Master setting before you can boot to this device.This was the standard when all drives were ATA or PATA - you had to set the jumper on the device to tell the BIOS what position the device needed to operate in. CS was the defaulted setting but does not work with booting from BIOS.Move the jumper to the Master setting and then repeat the boot process and this will work.

What was your original MOBO? It should help you identify the connections to your chassis/front panel. Typically you will have USB, audio, ground, power supply and switching/reset lines.Often the connectors are not compatible and you need to improvise. There should be two Aqua colored tabs on the back diectly under the side panel, press them both at the same time and swing the cover out and it should slide off. Install the optical drive and replace the cover back on...I have one of these systems and they are easy to work with, relatively speaking!

PCI device is a card that you can plug into the inside of the computer giving your computer either more usb ports, network connection, modem, better sound or video etc.


Please look at the back of the computer and find little silver slots some will be sealed but one of them will have inputs. the one with the inputs is the PCI device that the computer is looking for. You will have to find out exactly what that card is like the brand name and model and find the driver for that brand name and model.

Please connect front audio cable with motherboard in the a audio port of motherboard.If we work with sound card then connect front audio cable with sound card.

In that case, place your System disk in the DVD/CD drive after setting the BIOS to CD ROM first boot and boot the machine choosing repair system from the menu.

Recovery is the only option as i can see so as u said that you dont have the recovery disk here is a way to run the recovery from the partition .Turn the computer off and then instead of the F8 key tap the f10 key till you get a screen that says system recovery ..once you get the recovery page click on the advance option and then select destructive recovery .Click on next to initiate the recovery ,once it complets 100% restart the computer as it will prompt you to and then do the basic setup for the computer after which it will take you to the dsktop .

Any SATA disks will do. Buy the biggest you can afford. Just leave some space for the air flow when you install it in the case.
