You have bad LED backlights

Hi Kathleen....does the TV work normal during the 5 minutes it's on? Does the screen seem bright and has a good picture?

It won't be the tcon board, could be either the main or backlights, check the backlight on terminal at the power board, should see about 3 volts there

I have no idea why you would change the power board 3 times, this is the one board that can be tested with a simple multi meter, voltages are marked on the board, ifor future reference you know the 5 volt standby is working, next thing to test is the PS_ON pin coming from the main board, there should be about 3 volts there when the set is turned on, if no voltage replace the main board, if normal power-on voltage test the other rails, if all good the power board is working. Also a tcon board will never give the issues you have, a bad tcon will give distorted picture or blue screen without a picture. Now for what's wrong, according to service lit the blink code you have is bad inverter-backlight issue, since this set is LED it doesn't have an inverter so it's a LED backlight issue. Replacing the backlight strips should correct your issue, unfortunately on a set this size and with it being edge lit replacing the strips isn't a real easy job, this set has a diffusion panel behind the panel (screen) and it has to be replaced correctly or the picture won't look right, also with this size panel extreme care must be taken when handling the panel, suction cups work the best for removing and replacing it. When the OPC is on, it will sense the surrounding light and automatically adjust the backlight brightness. Something of yours is obstructing the sensors. The reflection from a window or mirror will cause it to blink. You can shut it off by pressing menu, pictures, use arrow up or down and press OPC.

Sounds like a power supply issues. Check the output voltages are stable and correct value.

Explain what you mean by "busted" capacitor. Is it buldged on the top?

I suspect leaking capacitors in your power supply. If you have good hearing some people can hear a very high quiet pitched sound that leaking caps can sometimes make. If you know what caps are and can ID the power supply board, then leaking caps will show some brown tarry looking stuff around the top. you're on a fixit site so maybe youre brave enough to replace them yourself. I have done it and fixed that very same problem for like 2 dollars. just remember that power supplies will have high voltages present even when unplugged that are hot enough to kill you. so if you don't know what you're doing do not attempt this repair yourself.

Sounds like bad LED backlights

I don't have a service manual for that set so I'm only able to help on a limited basis...Have you tried the flashlight test?...if the backlights are out then it could be a backlight driver board if it has one? or defective LEDs. See what you have for voltage going into the panel LED's
