Blu-Ray discs cannot be played properly without remote control. You must have its original remote control. No universal remote control will work with Blu-Ray. Contact the nearest Vizio authorised service center to buy an original one. Download the user manual to your player. Click here to download it. It will give you specifiction of the remote control.

This is a common problem in blu ray discs, the reason why it won't play is because they play at a faster speed and demand a higher precision to produce the high definition signal required to play the program. The only way to fix this is to replace the whole laser pickup assembly which would not be cost effective.

Hi I'm not 100% sure what dynex model you have however i am aware that not all models have the red/yellow and white composite plugs. So you best bet is to use an hdmi cable it will give you best picture and can be brought of ebay from £3. If the tv as a scart plug connector, you can get a red/yellow/white adepter to Covent it to scart like the images below:

The best advice I have to offer for the Vizio VBR120 is to replace it with a better player from LG, Sony or Samsung. I replaced mine with a LG BR540 and haven't looked back. With Vizio you get what you pay for, junk. There is no update for a Vizio VBR120.

I have had this problem with the NEWER discs.. There is a change in Format that does not work on some of the older Players... has to do with Language and Technology used...

Many have a default code like all 9's but you may have to call the maker if not in the owner manual.

1) change the batteries by new ones2) clean the contacts batteries with contacts cleaners3) retight the springs contacts with pliers for good contact4) open the remote control for clean the keypads switch, from oxide, corrosion, etc for to send good signa infrared to the microcontroller devices(DVD player)if this not work you must go to the repair shop TV for fix it.God bless you

This indicates a open capacitor in the power supply board, sometimes bulges at top leaking.

The problem is in the DVD disc, wash in luke warm water and dry, may work.

to enjoy blu ray you must have a television with high definition cpabilities like component and hdmi. without these the purpose is defeated. you must upgrade your television unless the blu ray player has a composite video plug in the back. otherwiseit is not compatible with your television

No this model needs the ethernet connection. You can ghet a wireless router and hook it up that way if you wish. But you need to hard wire this player.

try to unplug the electrical cord and replug it after 2 minutes, hope this info help you resolve your Vizio player.
