Soleus DP14503 Dehumidifier - Page 4 Questions & Answers
I have a Soleus Air
Several things play a role in the problem you're having.
1. The length of the hose. Shouldn't exceed 5 feet.
2. Is the hose sloping downward from the unit with out any kinks or twists. Most dehumidifiers rely
entirely on gravity to drain the water by hose. It will not drain up and over anything.
3. Is/was there a knockout plug on the dehumidifiers hose connection, that was not removed?
4. Is there a clog in the hose? If so, the water will divert to the bucket.
5. The unit's hose connection or interior tubing is clogged. To solve this problem do the following.
Using an appropriately sized, 18" long, plastic
Zip Tie, carefully insert the tip of Zip Tie into the hose connector hole or tubing.
Continue to push it in until you reach a bend in the tubing. You will
need to gingerly work the Zip Tie past this bend, until it either
bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then slowly pull the Zip
Tie back out while rotating (twisting) it. This will breakup any clogs.
As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared, as some water
may follow. Reconnect the hose, plug the unit in and turn the Master
ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity extraction level to 35% or
Maximum if you have a manually controlled unit. Then monitor the hose for water flow.
I hope this helps you to troubleshoot & solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

The water doesn't drain through
It sounds like the unit should have came with a plug for the hole. You can probably obtain a plug from a home improvement or hardware store or even improvise one yourself. Also, make sure the unit is pitched so that the water actually runs towards the hose.

I have H. Bay model HB40F dehumidifier.
It does
It is probably the start device(the coil looking things), as long as you don't hear the compressor humming. A loud hum is a lock compressor and the cost would be far greater than a new unit.

Empty bin sensor
The sensor is damaged or dirty or the main board is damaged, the wire of the senzor is out from the main board.

Everything seems to work, the filter is clean,
Hi, from your explanation above concerning your dehumidifier not collecting water, check if the operating fan is ok because some dehumidifier have a frost guard switch (round device attached to the evaporator coils). If this frost guard opens circuit, it will stop the compressor from running at all. A ohm meter can be used to test the frost guard switch.
You can visit this site to get more information especially on the diagram.....

My soleus dehumidier is running but not collecting
Causes
•filter clogged
•the temperature or humidity of the room is too low
•the room is too large
•too many sources of humidity in room (boiling pots etc.)
•humidistat set too high
Actions
•clean the filter
•make sure the collector is installed correctly
•in certain conditions, it is normal for the appliance not to dehumidify (in these cases the room being dehumidified should also be heated)
•decrease the humidity set point

I have an ebac15 dehumidifier. When I moved it there was an oily liquid underneath. Why would this be?
There could be several reasons why you're finding an oily liquid underneath your Ebac15 dehumidifier:
Refrigerant Leak: If the dehumidifier is leaking refrigerant, it could result in an oily substance pooling underneath. Refrigerant leaks are often accompanied by an oily residue1\.
Compressor Issue: A malfunctioning compressor can cause refrigerant leaks and result in an oily substance accumulating underneath the dehumidifier.
Condenser Coil Leak: If the condenser coil is damaged or deteriorating, it may lead to refrigerant leaks and the presence of oil underneath the dehumidifier.
Internal Component Failure: Internal components such as seals or tubing may degrade over time, leading to leaks of refrigerant or oil.
Improper Handling During Transport: If the dehumidifier was tilted or handled roughly during transportation, it could have caused oil from the compressor or other internal components to leak.
Given the potential hazards associated with refrigerant leaks, it's advisable to discontinue the use of the dehumidifier and consult a professional technician for diagnosis and repair.
Challenge ram 710 manual
Hello
I would like to buy a dehumidifier "Challenge" ram 710. Is there a possibility to connect a little pipe, so it can be runned for 24 hrs, without having to care if the tank is full or not?
Thank you for all your answers!
Daniel
