It could mean that your room temperature is too high for the breadmaker. Wait until the room is cool and try again.

There is a problem with the internal processor and it could be from the power supply that is inside or it could be the processor itself. The only thing that you can do is take it to a service center or send it in.

According to the manual for your machine the read out of "EEE" means your machine is malfunctioning and you should contact west bend. There is no mention of what and "E3" reading would be. That is all I could find.

Yes, on page 4 of your manual they mention a "preheat" feature...

Does your pan have any writing on the edges at the top that say ?
If yes turn your pan towards the remove arrow and lift it out. If it doesn't have that on the edge of the pan please email me or comment... [email protected]

Do you select your crust color on the control panel before baking?

Unless you are making whole wheat bread be sure to use flour that says "bread flour" on the bag. NOT all purpose floure etc. only bread flour. My favorite is King Arthur brand of flour....
