My cord came unplugged and when I plugged it back in the machine will not turn on.

It is possible that you may have pulled the machine too far and possibly broken a wire most likely near the plug end or within the machine itself.

The hose is blocked, how do I get it off to unblock?

Hey, this is Tristan with Crucial Vacuum, In order to remove the hose to start unblocking it, do the following: 1. Put the vacuum in the upright position 2. Press the release button of the telescopic wand and remove the handle from the hose 3. Push the hose elbow downward into the catch hooks. 4. Undo the suction hose by twisting it at the elbow. If the blockage isn't in this location you can do the following to search further for blockages: 5. Open the service flap on the back of the vacuum. 6. Unscrew the screws and pull the cover free. Below I have attached a link to the users manual for the Miele S7210. Outer power cord has perished near the handle.

Best to have the power cord replaced. Take it to an appliance repair service and have the work done. Most cords have strain reliefs that you cannot replace, and when missing you problems will just reoccur faster.

Milie won,t stay upright

If your miele is laying all the way down like mine is and will not stand upright..look for a dark gray corrugated plastic part where the handle bends at the base. This is above the silver holed plastic filter holder. This may be stuck. I just pulled mine out and then I was able to stand it upright again. I wasn't able to put it back in but I think it is there just to cover up the inside workings of the vacuum. So I left it out.
