Dynex DX-LCD32-09 LCD TV - Page 4 Questions & Answers
I have a Dynex DX-LCD32-09
LCD tvs come with a florecent tube that projects light through the LCD screen like a stained glass window. It can be replaced if you take it to a repair shop that can order the parts. Given that it works and then turns off would obviously mean the bulb is working, the power is just getting cut to it at some point. This will complicate the repair considerably. I would just replace it, personally. By the time the diagnostic fee and the parts+ labor is done, you might as well just pay a little bit more for a brand new tv with better features and a new warranty.

This is a protection circuit that prevents the tv from coming on (to stop damage of the components) ....you need to check your voltages off the power supply and make sure they all read well (EX: 24v12v5v etc). Also look for popped capacitors that would make the values lower than need be for the tv to power on properly.
Once you repair the power supply then you may need to replace other components if needed (EX: backlight inverter)!
Please rate if this helps! :D
Replacing capacitors is ALWAYS the cheaper option, but you need to have experience it, or you'll create more damage than good!

I have a Dynex 32"
Take the back off of your set and look for 1 or 2 cables that run from your main board ( the one with all the inputs ) to the TCon board. It is the board on the top of the set. Pull the cable or cables out and put them back in. Make sure they are in straight and tight. Do this on both ends and make sure the TV is unplugged. When the cables are back in, plug in the set and see if the problem is resolved. If not, then your TCon board is most likely at fault.

My dynex tv has sound but no picture it happened a
Test: You might see a pic by shining a bright light against the screen. (Halogen can burn a spot if too close for too long like 15 seconds). If so, you probably have an inverter, backlight tube or coil/driver board problem. Some of these units have a bad ground on the tube driver coil board which can be shimmed and/or tightened. Sometimes a simple car light tester (continuity tester with a 12v bulb) from casing/mount ground to any of the - side of the backlight driver coils will light the screen and reveal if and which tube is non functional. I leave one dome light running in such ground position one of my TVs at all times for regulation and night dimming.

Which cable box do you have? Is it Motorola or Scientific Atlanta?
If it is Motorola then press turn the power off then press the menu button. There should be a setting for ypbr output and use the left and or right arrow button on the remote to change this setting to 1080i
Thanks,
Robert

I have a dynex dx-lcd32-09 and the remote stop
Since both remotes are working this failure could be due to a defective infrared receiver on the TV. This device is located on a small board where the LED is connected.
Let me know if you require further assistance.

The yellow blue and green..
What you have is a component cable. By the sound of the cable it seems like you might have this kind:
http://www.componentcable.net/images/Component%20Cable%20PS3.jpg
The Yellow / Blue / Green / Red cables are all meant for video. The back/side of your display will either have matching colors, or it will just have a yellow, white, red. You want to plug in the Blue, Green, and Red cables. If your display doesn't have this, it's not capable of component video, in which case you will want to plug in the Yellow / White / Red into the AV slots.

I have a Dynex 26
If you are sure the warranty is expired, the cost will be somewhere between $50-150 US.
Although it is early for this kind of failure, either the fluorescent back-light or the inverter for it is likely dying.

How do I get rid
The only thing you can do is if your on a cable box, make sure the volume on the box is all the way up. Then adjust the volume on the tv according to your likening. If you don't have a cable box then I would contact your local service company because you have an issue with the set.
