check the wiring for the cam position sensor and the crank position sensor wires that are not like new will have electronic problems that from engine movement will switch off the ecm you didn't say that you had the fault codes read so that would be a good idea to see if there are any faults reported that were not drastic enough to put on the engine light

I had the same problem and I put baby oil on a rag and wiped the metal bars with it. I haven't had a problem since.
