likely a mainboard or power supply capacitor issue. if you have the soldering skills fix it, otherwise time to replace the TV. If you can de-solder and solder in new capacitors make sure you are using high quality capacitors be very causious of capacitors purchased from auction sites.

many tvs were plagued by bad capcitors on the main board and/or power supply. if you are comfortable with soldering go for replacing the capacitors. if not it is not worth having repaired, cheaper to replace the tv.

change your device cables or try to put at a pc to check if isworking your pc

Setup codes to check with Sanyo brands are 004/ 013. If you wish to get more details about four digit and five digit codes, check this link. There is setup code list to many brands of remote controls. Just see and check which brand has setup code to Sanyo. It will make you remote selection easy. There is an other link. Check this too.

Looks like the display has developed some problem. Try changing the input device to some other like a DVD player, VCR etc. If the problem persists, this might require attention by a qualified service technician.

You may have dying 24vdc power supply or backlight inverter board, check the voltages first.

Check its T'Con board. This is a common fault to all type of LCD TVs

the problem is on inverter board..Please replace it to fix your TV..it is not expensive..

At least look at the main AC fuse (F1) in the power supply module, and also look to see if any of the MOV's has blown.

Press the reset key on the remote twice in a row this will reset the tv to the factory defaults. Link to the manual

Your problem is the T-con board. This is gone bad/faulty. I would advice you to replace it with new T-con board and your unit will back to normal again. You may look for the replacement online. Try ebay.com or shopjimmy.com.

Look on the side/back of the set for the control buttons. Try them. If they work, then you can do a quick check of the remote by;
Get a digital camera (turn on) and point the remote at the lenses.
If you see a flash on the lcd display, the remote is giving a signal and the problem is probably in the remote sensor on the set.
If you do not see a flash the remote may need new batteries.
No camera? check the batteries anyway.

ok i have come acrost this problem with my ps3
turn the ps3 off plug all the cables in right and put the tv on the right video input now hold down the power button on the ps3 for about 30 - 60 secs or untill it beeps or you see it working

Make sure you are connected to the correct input in back. Check the inputs in the settings on your TV to make sure is is set to the correct setting. Then do a channel scan. It should be in you owners manual on how to do this.

remote is worn out cannot change volume, channel , check info etc most buttons have stopped functioning I need code to set up universal remote need it now.

jcorvette86, Check your warranty status first. Use it if unit is still covered. Do additional comment to this one if unit not covered by warranty. I or another technician will assist you to troubleshoot unit. May just be a tired fuse has gone "open" or an internal power supply (ac to DC) board failure. You should give Sanyo a call and complain about "premature failure" of their product. Try to get them to do a FREE swap-out for a factory refurbished unit!! In any case please return to this post and keep everybody informed of status.

Try website like Remotes.com to buy an original remote.Not all universal remote,will function as a original.

Just white/grey glowing screen? Check to see if the T-CON board is getting the 12vdc, check the surface mounted fuse on T-CON board also.
