Have you already tried to replace its battery? Maybe it is dead. If you happen to have a friend who also owns a 9502, try to borrow his battery pack, for test purposes. Otherwise, eBay offers some of them, like, e.g.,

Sorry for such a long delay for replying to your question. Hadn't noticed it before. Anyway, I'm afraid that you will have to hard reset your phone, by means of a keys combination. You, most probably, know that a hard reset will erase everyting you have installed on your phone, as well as all your personal data, as if you had just purchased your phone. In order to do it, slide your phone's keyboard open. Then, press and hold both the blue 'Fn' and the green 'Call' button, and whilst keeping them pressed, briefly press the reset pin with the stylus pen. Release the keys only after a confirmation screen comes up. Confirm the procedure by pressing the left softkey (which should be labeled 'yes'). Hope it works for you. By the way, you knowe that i-mate is no longer in service. So, I have the 9502's user manual, which I uploaded to 4shared a long time ago. Fixya has not offered it to me before.Anyway, if you want to backup your personal data, such as appointments, call logs, contacts, messages, speed dial settings, tasks, or other custom files, a good and, better yet, free solution is Dotfred's excellent PPCPimBackup program, whose version 2.8.5 for WM5 and WM6, can downloaded from this location. Download the zip file, unzip it, transfer the exe file to your phone, and run it direcltly.On the other hand, if you plan to do a complete backup, there are some very good, but paid, applications out there, such as Sprite Backup or SPB Backup. Whilst using my old 9502, some 4 years ago, I used the Sprite one, and it worked fine.Anyway, please, let me know if you need further informations.Regards,Carlos

Tap the speaker icon in the status bar, next to the clock one, and make sure that the 'On' checkbox is selected, and that the right slider (for phone) is all the way up.In case these settings seem to be correct, try to soft reset your phone, but sliding its keyboard open, and pressing the reset pin (at the right of the right softkey) with the stylus pen.If you still keep facing this issue afer a soft reset, your phone speaker might be faulty. Go to 'Start > Settings > System tab > Clock & Alarms > Time tab', and make sure the 'Sync to current time zone' checkbox is unchecked. Go to 'Start > Settings > Connections tab > Wi-Fi > Search for Networks'. You phone's Wi-Fi radio will be automatically turned on, and will search for available wireless networks. If, after a while, no network is found (e.g. the network you are trying to connect is hidden, i.e. doesn't broadcast its SSID), tap 'Menu > Add New...' You'll be prompted to fill in the Network name (SSID), and if the nettwork is hidden and/or ad-hoc (device to device). Tap 'Next', and fill in the authentication and encryption types, and the passphrase (if any). Tap 'Next' again, and fill in addtional data (if needed). Then, tap 'Finish'. Select the network you have just created and tap 'Menu > Turn On Wi-Fi'.
After finished, press 'Ok' as many times as needed to take you to the home screen. Launch IE and check if your internet connection is active.

Only in case you happen to have the ROM lock code, which came printed in the original box and in some stickers inside it (otherwise, you won't be able to upgrade the ROM), feel free to download this file to your PC and unzip it, Make sure either ActiveSync (for Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (for both Vista and 7) is running on your PC, connect your 9502 to your PC through the USB cable, run the unpacked EUM SFX executable file on your PC and follow the prompts. Don't disconnect your phone until you are told to.

1) Loaded with WM6.1, the last ROM released by i-mate before closing their doors, called v1.77 by them, the 9502 is able to handle both microSD and microSDHC cards, for what the maximum capacity would be, theoretically, 32GB. However, as I don't have such a big card to test, I can assure you that 16GB cards do work very well. If your phone is still loaded with WM6, I'm afraid you will be limited to 4GB cards. Nevertheless, only in case you happen to have the ROM lock code, which came printed in the original box and in some stickers inside it (otherwise, you won't be able to upgrade the ROM), feel free to download this file to your PC and unzip it, Make sure either ActiveSync (for Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (for both Vista and 7) is running on your PC, connect your 9502 to your PC through the USB cable, run the unpacked EUM SFX executable file on your PC and follow the prompts. 2) I happen to have a pdf version of the 9502 user manual, which I have uploaded for you. You can download it from this location.
3) The TV-out feature is buit-in. You just have to connect the custom cable which comes in the original package, containing a mini-USB connector in one end and 3 RCA plugs (video and stereo audio) on the other end to either a NTSC or PAL TV set (or AV system), and activate the TV-out feature, through either one of the system settings, or a shortcut in the hardware keyboard. You will be able to see documents and pictures, and watch videos stored on your phone directly on the big screen. I used this feature some times, but I found it pretty useful once, when I had to review a pdf file at a hotel room.

Hello Paul, replacing the screen for the iMate is a 2 fold task which could be risky to undertake if you do not have previous experience with electronics. For replacing the iMate screen special care has to be taken to ensure you can assemble the unit back as opening and replacing is fairly easy. First you have to take out the phone battery and back cover, next take out all the screws in the back this should enable you get access to the main engine of the phone although you would need a tiny screw driver to pry the phone open as not only the screws hold the back in place.
Next slide the phone screen up and take out the screws at the back of the screen and pry the screen compartment open also. take out the screws holding the main screen in place Now at this point you want to be very careful because there are a couple of metal looking flexes which need to be aligned with other parts of the phone you would want to have the replacement handy because you want to place the replacement in the same position which the old one is occupying. The flex might need to go into the lower motherboard which is in the back compartment so make sure you take note of how the spoilt one was passed.
Also try to take note of how everything was dis assembled if possible record the entire process on film incase you need a reminder about something later in the process.
