new belt on.wont run.how do you time it..or line up timing marks you have to line up the two marks on the gears and set the tension to the correct setting. then check the marks again. trial and error.

mark the old belt, with a white out pen or junk yard pen, relay the marks to the new belt. Then try it, it is most important that they line up. Crank and cams, all have marks on them. Hope this helps
