Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 Web Camera "camera blurry focus" Questions

camera lens is blurry. Not clear focus. My camera is 'new'. Used it possibly 4 times to date. The times I used it - the images were not good at all. However it has been attached to my PC for 2 years -
