lens is probably broken, many of the parts inside these lenses are quite delicate and won't take much of a bump on the front end to break the inside parts, i know, i have broken a few..hope this helps
...could TRY some plastic epoxy or some type of plastic-specific adhesive. i'm assuming you have the pieces that were broken off. otherwise, i'd say get a new lens...they are relatively reasonable
