sky are tiny-- smaller than the tip of your finger held at arms length. If you can focus on the moon and see the craters nothing is wrong except you do not know how to locate objects in the night sky.

...readings at the wrong time eg when i want to track it it says it had risen but the moon had not risen in the sky I suspect that you have not setup the location and time that is your spot on the
