playing a VHS tape that should be color content and it's in Black and White ... well you could check the tracking control if there is one on that model. Otherwise it sounds pretty broken. Probably NWR
...DVDs, given that the VHS tape and cable play with color, there could be a problem with the chroma circuit in the unit. This is probably something that a technician would need to diagnose. Good
