SOURCE: battery

i am in the process right now, and am having difficulty. the battery that was purchased does not fit properly; vent tube side would face belt side if terminals are aligned. to access removal of old battery, though, i took of the side panel, removed/unscrewed where owner's manual/tools sit. then, just disconneted bolts from terminals and slid it out.

SOURCE: Charging a battery in a Suzuki Boulevard S40.

It is behind the cover (side opposite toolbox) underneath the carby/airbox manifold. It is then wrapped in a rubber/plastic cradle. Cheers.

Charging the battery

Turn off ignition. Disconnect battery terminal leads, ensure fluid levels are ok, connect charger leads. It is best if you remove battery so you can give it a clean and save your bike if something is amiss somewhere and it erupts or leaks when charging. Try the sites below for manuals or go to Wiki Q & A under S40 Boulevard, then wade thru' for links.
Cheers.
