2007 Harley Davidson VRod light and instrument panel problem.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to correct category.

The VRod has an immobilizer. When you disconnect the battery, its memory is lost. Number 1 tip, if you remove the battery, keep power in the system with a battery charger, a battery maintainer, or even a 9 volt MN150 will hold power for 20 minutes. They are very tricky to reset and normally require the dealership! Have a read of this.

Where is battery located on burgman 400 scooter

Open compartment just below the instrument cluster with the ignition key. on right hand side is a small cover held on by jis (Phillips) screws. Remove the panel and the battery will be in plain sight with the terminals at the front bottom. Remove the retaining clips and leads and then you can take out the battery and charge or replace. Reverse the process to replace.
