2009 Street Glide, had front brakes done at dealership, brought home, went to ride a few days later and the front brake lever won't even pull in, let alone apply brakes. They say $700.00 + dollars for a new module, does this sound right?

SOURCE: my bike quit while riding home the other day.

start of breaking down of HT coil, if breaksdown while warm, leave for a while and start back up, it's HT coil, sounds like you should just carry on and see if it gets worse, then you'll know. unusual for a sudden complete breakdown so you shouldn't be stranded.

SOURCE: How to adjust front brake lever on '06 hd road king?

This is by design. When you have new pads on the bike and a rotor within limits the lever has very limited travel before engaging.
As these parts wear the position of which the lever engages changes. Unless you know that at the last brake pad change the caliper was "centered" this could account for the travel and will result in premature wear on the components.

SOURCE: 2002 HD Dyna Super Glide front brake noise at low

If it sounds like "swish-swish" noise, that is nornal for your bike. HD changed the front brakes in the 90's and the result was better stopping performance but there is that darned swishing sound. Don't worry about it, mate, there's nothing wrong with your bike.

Now, if you start to hear squealing when you pull the lever, take the bike to a shop to have the brakes pads replaced. If you feel vibration when you apply the brakes, take it to a shop immediately and have them check the wheel spokes for tightness.

SOURCE: I just purchased a 2008 Street Glide and the brake

Make sure the brake master cylinder is positioned firmly back against the switch housing. Loosen the two bolts that hold the master cylinder onto the handlebars and slide it back against the switch as firmly as possible. If this does not correct the problem, you must replace the front brake switch inside the throttle/switch housing.

2011 Harley Davidson FLHX Street Glide bleed front brakes

First and foremost, has the wrong brake fluid being used when the master cylinder was replaced? DOT 4 is the correct fluid for these bikes or DOT 5.1. Do not use under any circumstance DOT 5.0 as this is a silicone based fluid and will turn to a jelly like substance after a while. It can also ruin your ABS module. DOT 5 is coloured purple (at least HD fluid is). Open the top cover of the master cylinder and inspect this. I have got seized ABS modules in the past due to poor servicing (brake fluid must be changed every two years as it absorbs water (DOT 5.0 does not)) causing corrosion in the module.

My brake light stays on 2009 ultra classic

Have you recently done any work to the right handlebar or had the front brake lever off? If so, there's a good chance the lever wasn't reinstalled properly, or the switch is broken.
