SOURCE: Hi 2000 yamaha Vmax, 4600 miles on the clock.

This sounds like a carburetor problem. Either bad gas, partially plugged pilot jets, carb diaphragm cracked or has a pin hole, carbs out of sync or diaphragm cap is not tight. It would be best to have a dealer check it out. However, before going to the dealer I would try one thing. Drain the float bowls on all four carbs. There is a drain plug on the bottom of each bowl. Condensation inside the gas tank can make it's way into the carb. Bikes don't run well with water in the gas. Please rate my solution. Thanks.

Testimonial: "Right on the nail!!!! Thanx for that - could have costed me a bit! When into the Yamaha dealer with the bike and was told that they have to do fault finding and could cost me anything between £80 - £300 ... needles to say, drove right out of there and did your fix - perfect! P.S Sorry for the delayed response - been away!"

SOURCE: Rear cylinder not firing

The first thing I would do is replace the spark plugs again. You can foul a plug and it will cause you more problems than you can ever imagine. I see you have done all the logical things that I would recommend but I did not see you have replaced the plugs after the 200 miles. You would be surprised at how many times a $2.00 part can cause fits beyond belief.

SOURCE: kawasaki 300 bayou won't rev up.

No guarantees but try this. Pull the slide from the throat of the carb. Now move the clip on the jet needle down one notch. This will richen the low end mix. Two notches may be needed but do one notch at the start.

WHAT IS THE SPARK PLUG ORDER FOR A KAWASAKI NINJA 900 1985

Left coil feeds 1 and 4...right coil feeds 2 and 3...as long as you stick to this it doesn't matter which lead goes to which plug. Left coil will have one short lead and one long...short =1...long = 4. Right coil leads will be about even in length...doesn't matter which goes to 2 or 3.
It's a wasted spark system so plugs 1 and 4 fire together...2 and 3 fire together...only 1 cylinder in each pair will be compressed and ready to fire when the spark happens, the other will be empty and coming on to it's inlet stroke...

Spark plugs

Although the problem could indicate a (potentially) expensive electrical fault. It is worth trying the simple (and cheap) fixes first:
Have you tried swaping the Spark plugs (front to rear) If the fault moves with the plug, then A new set will get you sorted.
(Spark plugs may appear OK off the bike, but can break down when under compression)
Can't guarantee that this will work, but well worth a try.

At idle left cyl misfires. Remove right plug wire at idle and bike dies. hold idle up and remove right plug wire and bike stays running. runs good on the road as long as you are in 2nd gear. Has good fire...

The two carbs are not balanced to each other. Balance as follows; Start the bike then increase the idle on the left carb to a high idle. Now unplug the right cylinder and the engine will slow down some. Now slowly turn the idle down on the left carb until the engine just dies. Hook up the right plug wire then do the same proceedure for the right carb. Now both carbs are balanced. Hook up the left wire and start the engine again. The bike will be running faster than you want so now adjust the idle screws on both carbs equally to get the desired idle speed. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Vsc & check engine light on. Code reads cylinder 2 misfire I have changed the plugs swaped coil with another cylinder swaped vsv's swaped injector plugs with another cylinder always shows misfire #2...

You may need to look at your exhaust system. If you have a leak, your O2 sensors will send the wrong reading to your engine which will in turn tell your engine to fire differently. Your code will come up reading as a misfired bank. See if you have an exhaust leak first, then see about changing out the O2 sensors behind the leak.
