Was idling high with inboard header pipes cooler than outer two. Pulled carbs and removed bowls and found idle jets both plugged for the two iner cylinders. Opened them carefully so as not to damage or change jet size and reassembled. Now carbs are clean, jets are all open. Starts easily but revs higher than it used to when choked. Warms up much faster than it used to and when choke is taken off after warmup it idles low with what sounds like a miss in one cylinder, but all four header pipes are hot. Haven't tried to bump idle up yet as I want to address the "Miss" first.

you have a fuel delivery problem...have you tried a carb cleaner? You may need to remove and rebuild the carbs.

Change fuel filter.
fuel pump sounds fine.
Check for kinked or blocked lines.
If it has a fuel recovery cannister service it.
