2001 Dodge Ram 1500 3.9 V6 Seems not to go into low gear anymore - also, won't kick down into low even at low rpm. Anyone got a fix?

You may have a leak in the vacuum line which tells the tranny to switch gears, or it may have an electrical sensor instead of a vacuum line, Most new trannys are controled by electrical signals from sensors

Starts up like normal but jumps up to about 3 grand on the tach then falls down to 1.5 and stays there, engine surges at this idle. Runs good on the road till u have to stop and surges(jumps a little)....

P1294 indicates a vacuum problem or a idle motor control problem. Since you already checked for vacuum leak then the iac on the side of the throttle body will need to be removed and cleaned. The best thing to do is remove the whole throttle body so it can be cleaned as well - both with carb cleaner. The idle solenoid (motor) on side of throttle body should be removed to do a through cleaning. All of the black needs to be removed from inside both before remounting to the intake. Make sure all connections and bolts are tight before starting engine.

I have a 1998 Freelander 3dr Tdi (L-series Diesel) It just started to idle high (just above 1000rpm) and sometimes it would shoot up to between 3000-4000 rpm when ingaging the clutch (when coming to a...

Check for a possible leaking vacuum system, maybe the vacuum booster is leaking, that would explain the idle being affected by stepping on the brake pedal.

2000 dodge ram 1500 4x4, a/c stops blowing in the front panels and blows through the defrost when on the road. fine at start up

Sounds like you are losing vacuum to your heater controls going down the road. Check the lines for kinks, or sucking together under throttle. Possibly could be a bad mode door, but not as likely.

Pull your AIS motor off, clean with throttle body spray, especially pintle (pointed end) and hole it came out of , re-install & try again, see if that helps. If it works good for a while & acts up again, replace it.

88 dodge ram charger 5.2 ltr engine....intermittant spark

I have a 1988 dodge ram charger with a 318 motor with throttle body. It runs really good when I start it up and drive it for about a half of an hour.
But after that when I step on the throttle a little bit, it hesitates. If I let off a little bit, it will go or if I really step on it, it will go also, but if I just hold it there, it really hesitates If I stop, the idle jumps up and down so much it causes itself to stall. It seems to only do this at low RPM's. If the RPM's are higher it's fine

When you go down the road my a/c goes to defrost

Try to locate little check valve in vacuum source line, it may be faulty. Sometimes hooked up near/at brake booster. You may have to follow vacuum source through firewall to back of controls to find it. They used to install one under dash between firewall & control, but they moved it I believe, so following vacuum line, should locate it for you. If all checks out good to control, you'll have to follow them down to heater duct to locate leaky hose or malfunctioning vacuum motor.
