Re: Misfire on Jaguar X Type diesel
Have you tried a new mass airflow sensor? I had same problem, and bought a code reader. When it was plugged in it read a code that said this was the problem. I have since cleaned it and the car is fine. Is your check engine light on?
I have a X Type 2.0 Ltr Deisel first reg December 2004 that has the same problem engine misfires when driving at steady speed 50 - 60.
I have a Jaguar X type 2007 2.2 diesel. When switching on the engine the idling is extremely rough and the first few miles of driving produce a very jerky /misfiring reaction from the engine. The problem seems to ease off once the engine has reached normal operating temperature

I have a 2007 2.0d x type occasionally when running with light throttle opening the engine seems to have an intermittent misfire.Dealer says they cannot find anything wrong. thanks for your help.
