02 mazda p5 changed alternator and pulled off vaccum at egr? line goes from above alt to between firewall and then ????

sounds like you got a smaller amped alt then what was there.

egr position sensor aka the dpfe is often the culprit, its mounted on the firewall and has an electric connector and vaccum lines going to it.

It is not a vacuum line it is a exhaust gas pressure sensing line.

have u changed plug wires-they wear inside--distributer area may be badd too--the egr is a service bullitin for that year-the exhaust gas from crankcase has issues--if vehicle feels smooth then disconnect both wires on batt and touch them together-it should clear code-if not-hook it to a tech ll

p0106 is barometric sensor code and is caused by a faulty egr boost sensor, egr boost sensor solinoid, or faulty vaccume line to either devise and last a bad pcm. check vaccume lines first then components, also there is a small filter on egr vac sol make sure its clean

Your brake booster may have a vaccum leak, Pull and plug the booster vac line and plug to see if your problem goes away, Note you will not have power Brakes, and vec should not be driven will booster not connected....

Everyone says to test out your DPFE sensor. This controls the flow of the egr. When the codes pull up, everyone thinks its the egr, but really its this little guy.
