My 79 datsun pick up will not idle. once it is above 1200 rpms it some what smoths out. I just tuned it up with new plugs wires cap and rotor. and I still have the same problem. I tryed agusting the timeing and also the air fuel mixture for idle. I have checked to see if I have a vaccum leak, and there isn't one that I can see. I need some suggesting of what else I can check. I forgot to mention that the carb has also been replaced with a remand carb.

Replace your fuel filter first, cheap and easy to rule out, probably needs it anyways. Could also be a massive vacuum leak. On that year's carb there are 2 adjustments... Here's a page on idle tuning: http://sterlingmetalworks.com/tuning_the_nikki.htm
Sounds like it is time for a tune up. Do the plugs, wires, rotor button and distributor cap. Maybe do the wires too. Check the ignition coil also to make sure it doesn't show any signs of failure. www.fcpgroton.com sales an entire tune up kit.
By module do you mean computer? There's nothing wrong with it. Yea, replace all ignition components with new ones. New cap, rotor, wires and spark plugs.
this time do the cap and rotor with the wires and plugs. or just the cap and rotor , if wires are below 30K miles. plugs are cheap $1.50 so put in some new ones. and the filters , air and fuel. the key thing was , the fast foot trick
if the car runs ok and idle messes up. then the ISC might be needing to be cleaned. Idle speed controller.
if your getting misfire on hllls, that is ignition tune up. idle out can be tune up or ISC sticking.
