I lost the key to my Lexus LS 400, 1994 Model and I do not have a spare key. I don't know what options I have in getting a new key for it. The electronic chip on the previous key had been deactivated leaving it fully manual. Kindly let me know what I could do to get around this problem.

I would have the dealer cut a new key to get the driver's door open - or use a spare. You can buy a small charger that plugs into the cig lighter.

I have the same problem few days ago, and still didn't find any solution. Can any one please help?????6

Your LS manual can be found online through Lexus

The key is usually attached to the lug wrench at the factory with a wire. If it is not attached to the lug wrench, look for it by the spare or else in the glove box. If you can't find it, buy a new one from the dealer.

get your spare, or call dealer for replacement, or call locksmith.

You need to bring the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) to a Lexus dealer, where they will check that against a stolen car database, and ensure you receive the correct key. This key usually has an internal transponder-computer chip to match the vehicle. Not inexpensive but there's pretty much no way around this.

Usually not. Disconnect negative battery terminal, then positive. Next remove battery hold down (type is specific to car model). Battery then lifts out and replace with correct new one. Install is reverse.
