Regular coolant.
Toyotas regular coolant was died red. It is compatible with any green regular good old fashioned coolant.
Adding green coolant will turn the color of the coolant brown unless it is flushed.

Hi,
Yes , all cars have a radiator. Depends on type of car , year and engine for placement, but most are in the front behind the grill area. You can lose a bit of coolant here and ther due to evaporation, etc, not to worry. If you are losing coolant regularly, I would inspect for leaks. I usually have to add a quart or so once a year to my car.
whar steps do I take after draing the coolant from the radiator. I have a 1999 chysler 300m. Should the engine be running while replacing the coolant. This car does not have a radiator cap to remove. Do I just add the coolant in the resivor while the engine is running?
That particular car is known for coolant leaks in the intake manifold gasket. If you are dumping water or coolant in it regularly, you have a problem beyond type of coolant. I would have a good shop take a look at it before you spend any more money on anti-freeze, be it orange or green.
Its an extended life coolant. Adding regular coolant to the extended life coolant will ruin the extended life characteristics of the extended life coolant. Any good parts store will have coolant compatible with your vehicle.
When your cooling system is ready to be serviced (flushed) most shops will convert it to regular green coolant. Although the green coolant will not last as long as the extended life coolant it is much cheaper even with the more frequent service intervals.
50/50 antifreeze and water. pontiac or GM recommends the use of Dex cool antifreeze but it really doesnt matter. You have to check the color of the coolant orange you need to use extended life, if its green just use regular 50/50
It probably requires dexron which is different than regular antifreeze. Most cars now are filled by putting it in the coolant tank/jug. If you see a hot and cold indicator on the tank put it in the tank.
you cannot mix dex and regular it will cause a gel affect you will need to get a coolant flush and change to regular dex is terrible it will be ok to do so
Read the under hood specs. this coolant can be purchased at the dealer. But, it is orange in color. Not your regular coolant and it is a little more exspensive. Change your thermestat while you are at it.........runjoe
