Generally on high end cars, if the dash says there is something wrong, normally it is. I would not advise trying to remove the bulb from the car. This light will come on even if one small bulb on the outside of the car is out. Make sure you look at all the bulbs, there is generally one bulb out if that light is coming on.

1997 Volvo 850 no abs light

The abs light bulb has burned out (just like a regular light bulb). These bulbs can be replaced easily, you just remove the upper portion of the dashboard by removing the retaining screws and then you will see the gauge cluster underneath. The gauge cluster will unclip and unplug and then you can replace the bulbs which are burned out. It is very common for older cars to have dash bulbs burn out.
tip

Extend dash lights bulb life.

If you are like me, burned out dash lights drive me nuts. Removing a dash from a modern car to get to them takes time and patience. Tip 1: once you do that replace all the bulbs to keep from having to do this again in the near future. Tip 2: Instead of burning your dash lights full intensity, use the dimmer switch for a lower setting. Less voltage to those bulbs will greatly extend their life. Hopefully all your dash lights are working, and this tip will save you money, time, and aggravation!

What is the DRL warning light on the dashboard of my 2007 Honda CRV?

On my 2007 Honda CR-V The DRL code appeared on the dash board. Additionally I had only one high beam (on the passenger side); both low beams were fine, but I did not have a Daytime Running Light on the drivers side. The DRL code was really misleading because the real problem was that the high beam element in the headlight bulb was burned out. Note that the daytime running light is not a seperate bulb -- it is the high beam element which is powered at a low voltage. Once I replaced the head light bulb everything worked fine and the DRL code on the dash board was gone. So if the DRL message appears what you really need to do is replace the headlight bulb (there are YouTube videos which show how to do this - but search for headlight replacement, not for DRL fix). Be careful not to touch the new bulb with you hands since premature burnout can occur from the grease off your skin. I got my bulb from Wal-Mart for $8.88 (it's a 9003/HB2 for the 2007 CR-V) -- that's a pretty cheap fix.

SOME OF THE DASH LIGHTS DON'T WORK WHILE OTHERS DO. IS THE A FUSE PROBLEM?

Hi:
All of dash lights are on the same circuit. There are around 7 small bulbs that illuminate the dash instrument cluster, and they can burn out individually. If the situation gets bad enough that you are struggling with seeing it at night, the instrument cluster must be removed to replace the bulbs. I recommend changing every bulb when you do this.

BMW L7 Dashboard And Air Doors

The dash will have to come out for the A/C prob to check the stepper motors and wiring. There are about 6 motors back controling different flaps to control direction of airflow. Once you get the dash out, turn on the car and start working the climate control to see what motors and flap are doing what. Once you see what's happening or not happening, you will know what to do then. about 4 to 5 hrs to take out dash fix prob reinstall dash.
The dash does not have to come for bulbs. For the cluster, you may have to drop the wheel if it does not adjust down far enough to remove the cluster. Drop the lower dash under the wheel, one of the bolts is left hand thread to hold the wheel up, two wery small screw hold the cluster, it slides out. One hour at most; two if no experience doing it.
